Winter Solstice

With winter’s arrival, we also get the winter solstice, or what some people may know as the “shortest day of the year” in Australia. When we refer to the shortest day of the year, we’re actually talking about the number of daylight hours. The winter solstice is the day where we’ll see the least amount of daylight in 24 hours, due to the tilt of the Earth.
